the day i was saved by a breath of wind
It was here. The beauty. The sight. The feeling. I was saved here. I felt clarity. Here....
jolie ville
Montpellier is such a pretty city! We didn't spend too much time there and I did not take too many pictures. I won't write much...another picture post but I will say that if you are in France you must go to Montpellier!
blue eyes, blue eyes
Unforgettable!
change (et deux semaines..)
Two weeks. It has come so fast that I almost cannot believe it! Two weeks left of this experience. Bittersweet.
Three months is a long time away from home and a lot can happen in three months. Change. Things change all the time- people, time, relationships, prices, clothes, minds, moods. Its just a part of life; a process.
France has changed me in so many ways. Half of the ways I

I see clearer. I know I've talked about experiencing a sense of clarity just a few days ago but that is not what I mean (welllllll...it is but it isn't!) My view point of life is just different now. I'm sure when I go back to Canada I will find people to be very immature because here, they just aren't. And now, after living three months here, I'm not (at least not THAT much) anymore! I just look at life with a little more respect because I learned that time comes and goes. Its here one moment and the next its gone in a flash. Life is here and then its not. We know that, yes I know but we live so much for tomorrow and for the past. Thats all fine and well, I still do that, too but I also realized that you have to live for this moment right now.
I've learned the importance of family and friends. I'm not going to sit here and tell you that now I will be the perfect big sister and the number one daughter. No, I have faults too. But, I am saying that I will forever look at my family differently. I'll try harder to be the cool sister who babysits and does fun things. I'll take H and H anywhere they want to go (Thank you G2!!) and I'll even have my debit card at hand because my brothers and sister mean th world to me. I'll try harder not to sass my parents and get off my lazy duff when they ask me too instead of continuing to do what I am doing for 10 more minutes. Its about sacrifice for your family. And sadly, it took three months away from them and 8000 miles for me to realize that. I'll be more loving and supportive to everyone in my family especially Matt and Jon. My eyes have been opened. I mean, I haven't missed my family desperately(would never admit that...hahahaha) but I have missed them and I've missed our family time. I wish they could be here to see this but I know this break from them has been good.
This has just been an incredible learning experience. From literally learning in school to the life lessons I have been slapped in the face with. I've faced so many things that have forced me to grow the heck up and stop being a spoiled little brat (even though my mom says me coming here is classified as spoiling me..) And you know, before I was such a negative thinker. But before that, I wasn't. France has brought the before before me back. I found that positivy again.I know everyone has their days and I'll have mine, too but in general, I think much more positively! PMA FOR THE WIN!! Thats Positive Mental Attitude by the way folks! i know my mom will comment this saying that shes so proud of the young lady I've become and I love seeing that even though its all mushy but seriously, I'm proud of myself too! Dangit, I can be too right?!

In three months I've expereiced so many life changing things. Bad times, good times, pure joy, sadness, frustration, beauty and a whole bunch of other really great action words and adjectives. Still, no matter what I write here or how many words I use or even how many pictures I post- it still doesn't truly justify or convey my true experience. I dont think anything ever will either! It is something everyone has to experience for themselves... its a personal thing. Its a change. Different things bring it for differet people. France was mine. My saving grace.
Two weeks will go fast. I know it will because the other 9 or 10 already have. Even though I want to be home so terribly I know that when the day comes I'll be sad to leave here. I also realize that for a few days or even weeks I'll feel a pang of sadness everytime I think of France. I have two weeks to make this the best thing that has ever happened to me (even though it already is!). Two weeks, it comes and goes.
